Because it’s December and it has been in my folder for a while.
(These four-panel cartoons originally appeared in “Weekly Shonen Jump” Vol. 4-5 (double issue), 2004. They appear, once again, in Death Note Volume 1.)
It’s out!
I illustrated for Disney’s MULAN book “Mulan’s Lunar New Year”, (you can see the book here!) a children’s book about little Mulan spending Lunar New Year with her family.
It’s my first book and I want to share some illustrations :D [*will also have this book at my table at CTNx 2018 this year on display at T55!]
Looking back, there are lots that I want to improve on the crafting of my drawings for this book, but overall… I’m really glad I get to illustrate and to remember the joy and excitement I had celebrating Lunar New Years and lighting fireworks with my parents as a kid.
It was pretty magical.

now i wanted to do this for a long, long time, and now i finally did it, heres my version of the swarm. (will probably do the Kal and Va at a later time)
i drew almost all of this on stream over the course of this summer, and it was really fun to have all the entertainment and input.
now, i hope you enjoy these as much as i do, because i have to say im really damns atisfied with how these turned out.
